Start Hospice Care with Orange Hospice
Orange Hospice is currently accepting new hospice patients and transfer requests. If your loved one needs hospice support, or if your family is considering changing from another hospice provider, our team can help you understand the next step and move quickly.
We help families begin care, verify coverage, coordinate with physicians or facilities, and keep the process as simple as possible. If you are already enrolled with another hospice, you have the right to transfer providers. We can guide that transition with care, urgency, and respect for your family’s situation.
New Patients and Transfers Are Welcome
Hospice support can begin when a patient has a life-limiting illness and the focus of care is comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Under Medicare and Medi-Cal, eligible patients may also choose to change hospice providers without restarting the benefit or creating a gap in care.
Families contact Orange Hospice when they need:
- Help starting hospice care after a hospital stay, physician referral, or change in condition
- A responsive local team that can explain options clearly
- Support for care at home, in assisted living, or in a facility
- Multilingual, community-connected hospice care
- A transfer from a current hospice provider that no longer feels like the right fit
You do not need to have every detail ready before reaching out. Tell us the best way to contact you, and our team will help you understand what comes next.
How the Process Works
We made this as simple as possible so your family can focus on care, comfort, and answers.
Step 1 — Reach out to us. Complete the request form below or call us directly at (714) 790-0594. Our team is available 24/7.
Step 2 — We review the situation and verify coverage. We will ask only for the information needed to understand the next step, confirm Medicare, Medi-Cal, or insurance details, and explain what to expect.
Step 3 — We coordinate care. For new patients, we can coordinate with physicians, hospitals, facilities, or family decision-makers. For transfers, we can work with the current hospice provider so the transition is handled properly.
Step 4 — Our team begins support. Once care is ready to start, an Orange Hospice nurse will assess needs, introduce the care team, and help coordinate medications, equipment, supplies, and family support.
Our goal is to help your loved one receive timely, compassionate hospice support with clear communication at each step.
