Cultural Diversity: While we welcome patients from all backgrounds, we specialize in serving the Korean and Spanish communities. We understand the unique cultural needs and preferences of these communities and strive to provide culturally sensitive care that honors their traditions and values.
Some services are also available in Chinese/Mandarin, and Thai.
Dependability: Our policy states that any patient in need will be seen when they call, and any missed calls will be returned in no more than 15 minutes - no matter the time of day! You will never hear an answering service or AI voice agent when calling Orange Hospice. Our patients can depend on us to be there when they need us the most.
Community Engagement and Support: Orange Hospice is deeply committed to giving back to our community. That is why we donated 10% of our profits to HEAL OC, our non-profit branch dedicated to providing aid to lower-income hospice patients and families in need of additional support.
How do you qualify for hospice care?
To qualify for hospice care, a physician must certify that the patient has a life-limiting illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients should also be seeking comfort-focused care rather than curative treatment. Our team can guide families through the eligibility process and answer any questions.

What is the difference between palliative care and hospice care?
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with serious illnesses at any stage. It focuses on managing symptoms and improving quality of life while patients may still receive curative treatment.
Hospice care is a form of palliative care for patients with a life expectancy of six months or less who are no longer seeking curative treatment. Hospice provides medical, emotional, and spiritual support for both patients and families, ensuring comfort and dignity at the end of life.
What is covered under hospice?
List medical supplies, durable medical equipment, prescription medication related to treating pain and symptoms of their terminal illness, visits and services from the hospice care team, 4 levels of hospice care, physical/occupation/speech therapy for pain and symptoms if medically necessary. What languages does your team speak?
Our team is multilingual and can connect with patients and families in English, Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, and Thai, along with other languages when possible. This allows us to provide care that is both accessible and culturally sensitive.

Does insurance cover hospice care?
Yes, hospice care is fully covered by Medicare, Medi-Cal, and most major insurance providers. You can ask your insurer whether it is available under your current plan.
Do you offer 24/7 care?
We always have a registered nurse on-call 24/7 to provide support over the phone or make visits at bedside when needed.

The RN Nat Theradon and the team were truly a gift from God. Nat answered day and night with care, pain meds, anti nausea meds, equipment, etc. what ever we needed, she came through for us.
